Dr. Amos Nungu

Amos Nungu (PhD) will coordinate the DIT project activities and leads the Research Component 2 on digitising the manual weather records into electronic weather repositories to ensure reliable, accurate and well-formatted data for seasonal weather forecasts and climate research.

He is a Lecturer at the Department of Computer Engineering, and Head of the National Centre of Excellence in ICT (CoEICT), Dar-es-Salaam Institute of Technology (DIT) in Tanzania. He is currently also the CEO of the Tanzania Education and Research Network (TERNET). He holds a BSc in Computer Science from UDSM of Tanzania, MSc and PhD degrees in telecommunication systems from the Royal Institutes of Technology (KTH) of Sweden.
